Working Solo was created in early 1999 by Leah Maclean in a desire to work with small business to grow their confidence and their success. It’s focus is to be to design and technology advisor or choice to clever business women who want to do more and know more in the online world.

About Leah

I suppose that with a title like “About Leah” this page is supposed to say a little about who I am, for those people inquisitive enough to know more. So, firstly, if you are here I would like to thank you for that added interest.

Like you, and like most people, who I am is many and varied. As a first time or even regular visitor to this site the “who” that may interest you the most is the fact that I am an outstanding business-technology integrator.

For the past 20+ years I have played a role, in one shape or another, as the interface between business reality and technical possibility. I have helped large corporations, medium size not-for-profit agencies, commercial business, and small business owners (my favourite) to find the best operational fit between their business and the technology available.

I suppose this type of role was always destined to be where I would spend my professional time. You see, who I am also encompasses some personal characteristics that fit this type of role - dynamic, easily bored, challenging, driven, problem-solver and lover of language and communication all seem to fit the role of business-technology integrator to a “T”.
