Ie7
If you are one of the majority of people that use Microsoft’s Internet Explorer for your browser then you might be interested in downloading the latest release IE7.

This application has been in beta testing phase for some time now with millions of users (me included) and in the last 24 hours has been taken off the testing list and put into full release.

Some of the features bring it into line with other browsers (suc as my personal favourite Firefox) such as tabbed browsing, support for RSS feeds, customisation of your search via your favourite seach engine, and, they claim, improved security.

If you are a lover of all things Internet Explorer then you will enjoy the new experience.

Would you recommend upgrading to it? Are there any negatives in this new release?

Thanks Leah – I have the same question as Char; I’m always a bit scared of these “new” versions. All the best.

Thanks Char and Terry for your question.

It is understandable that there a reticense about upgrading (MS have led us into a land where we don’t want to get burnt with the latest version). IE7 has been in beta testing with millions of users around the world for the past 8 months (I have been one of the multiude) and it seems to be one of the most robust upgrades they have released in quite some time.

So my recommendation is to do the upgrade. If you are still wary of MS and IE7 then I would also suggest that Firefox (http://www.getfirefox.com) would be a good option for you – being used by many and has proven itself robust.

(Firefox even has a new 2.0 release coming very soon – I’m currently using the beta version of 2.0 and it has some nice features so stay tuned).
